David sighs, head dropped low, hands on his narrow hips.
"Why don't you come to your senses? You've been out - out here for so long. I know you've got your reasons. But these things, they're going to hurt you, and you won't be able to come back from it. You talk about missions, and purpose, but that's not - you're already in a prison, walking through this world all alone. You gotta stop this, man. You gotta let somebody in, before it's too late."
Frank's quiet for a beat. Gives him a long, searching look. Then:
"Lieberman. Are you really quoting Desperado at me right now." It's not a question.
He considers, curly head tilted. "...Paraphrasing. Yes. But that doesn't make the point less valid!"

"That's my line to you, Red," Frank growls, tone annoyed and tense but not (yet) furious. "Did you follow me?"
"No!" Somehow, even now, Matt's indignant at the question.
"Well, I know you didn't come here to lecture me about morality and never killing a bastard no matter how much they deserve it, again, or to get in my way tonight, because then we'd have a problem."
"I don't care who you kill!" Just don't kill Fisk before me. He dies tonight, by my hands."
"I'm looking for someone," Frank says after a long beat. "Been on his trail for a week. Didn't have much luck until I got a message, just a set of coordinates. Followed 'em here. This isn't a take-down; it's an extraction. End of story."

Frank hasn't actually asked about David's scars. The existing images in his head (some imagined, some remembered, some he's the cause of) of David alone and scared and in pain are bad enough.
So Frank pays both spots special attention, to make up for... a lot of things.
Faces and necks aside, that raised, puckered, sensitive skin on David's chest or side is usually the first place Frank will put his mouth.

"Well, I followed you from the hospital," he starts, and Madani doesn't think he's on anything, but he is practically vibrating with anxious energy. "Which was a lot easier than it probably should've been, considering every bounty hunter in the state is--"
"No, I mean why am I looking at your face right now? I thought we were done with you a year ago! You're still in contact with Castle?"
"Uh--yeah, let's go with that," he says with an awkward, tense half-smile.
