The fall was as slow as the game was long. Sharp barbs turned to playful banter with the leaves. Banter fell to flirtation as the nights grew cold. By the time winter arrived in earnest, and snow barricaded them inside the mountain villa’s lush suites, Hawks’ voice was full of a warmth Dabi couldn’t help but get wrapped up in.
It had been a slowly spreading disease, the kind that goes unnoticed, neglected until the body has no choice but to manifest it tangibly.
And so Dabi realizes Hawks is a liar when he starts coughing up flowers.

They’d stopped just in front of a candy shop. A gaudy pink sign on the window advertised the store’s special Valentine’s Day chocolates, guaranteed to make your crush fall in love with you. On the sign were an abundance of red hearts, images of the shop’s offerings, and an angel. Not an Angel Devil, but a cartoon cupid with fluffy white wings and rosy cheeks and a sparkling halo, holding a bow with a heart tipped arrow. A speech bubble above its head read, “The kiss of an angel would make anyone fall in love! Buy two, get one 25% off!”
Aki looked at Angel, with his messy hair and pale skin and drooping wings and ill fitting suit. He tried to picture his Angel dressed up like the one in the window. “Yeah,” Aki said, unable to hold back a slight smile at the amusing contrast the two angels presented, “I can see why you’d hate it.”
Valentine's Day with Aki and Angel includes going on patrol, killing devils, and a human eating chocolates out of a devil's hand.

I decided to write this after being OUTRAGED by the number of highly problematic and abusive fanfics I see on this site! Honestly I shouldn't even post it here at all, since AO3 is complicit in LITERAL SEX TRAFFICKING and ABUSE by allowing just anyone to post whatever they want. But it's the best website for posting fic. What am I supposed to do, raise money to pay for servers and use AO3's entirely, 100% open source code to start a new site that upholds REAL MORALITY? Anyways here's my fanfic. If you comment on this fic with ANY NEGATIVE OPINION it's ABUSE and I will call the FBI. Summary
Vash isn't certain what sort of drugs run through Wolfwood's veins. All Vash knows is that if they stop making eye contact for longer than a few seconds, it's as though he ceases to exist. There's genuine surprise in Wolfwood's gaze every time he looks back, almost sweet in the way his eyes light up.
The visible beating heart just puts a real damper on things, unfortunately.
