After a moment, Nathan spoke. “Maybe?”
“And you didn’t tell me?”
“…No.” He collapsed into the desk chair, the old wheels squeaking and sliding underneath him. “I haven’t had him for that long, and he’s been having a hard time adjusting. I dont know, I’m just making up excuses.” He shook his head. “Are you mad?”
She hummed, thinking for a moment. “How old is he?” Which wasn’t an answer, but.
Nathan winced. “Uh, nine.”
“Thats a long time to keep a kid a secret.”
OR; Nathan tells a lie he is starting to get much too comfortable telling, and it leads him to taking Abaddon to Thanksgiving dinner

Pantalone smiles at the doctor, allowing himself to appear as tired as he feels and eyes closed enough so he can still see, but making it impossible for Dottore to notice the burning determination in his lilac irises. His lips don’t even twitch when he answers, as if the information he leaks isn’t something that would change everything for them both if it were true. “I’m sick, doctor.”, he smiles politely, and fake. It must irritate the Second or at least confuse him, for he’s the only person Pantalone doesn’t smile at like that. With Dottore, his smile is mostly murderous, but at least it’s real.

Pantalone is smitten, but unfortunately the doctor appears to be void of any and all human emotion that isn't sadistic pleasure. So, being the dramatic minx he is, he decides to drop a bomb onto dottore to check if there's a chance he cares. Things.. escalate because apparently the Second Harbringer has many hidden thoughts about Pantalone that now, he finally voices.

He cried a lot.
It did provide him with something back then. Being a child and crying can get you stuff, even if only a pat on the head, but something nonetheless.
However, aging gives you experience, and he's learned that crying simply doesn't solve anything. Behind are the days where someone would see his tears and run to comfort him.
So, Kaeya Alberich wasn't a man that cried… but he was really close to.
