She saved Robert that night, and didn’t even beat his ass for assaulting a press junker.. journalist. Honestly, she forgave more in him than she ever should’ve.
Now why the hell she would bring up Chase Wright at 11pm on a work night—not that every night wasn’t a work night for her, Robert didn’t have a fucking clue.He’d seen his old ass just days ago; the guy, still stubbornly kicking on despite it all.
But somehow, an ache in his chest found its way right between his ribs. And he wanted to go home.

Eugh. Me and Leon being Mentally Ill twins was on my bingo card—I mean it’s in his character. But it didn’t have to hit so hard.
Fuck. Man. The only thing he’s missing is the split when Ethan starts talking about “yet.” Absolutely ruining the moment and spiraling even harder because “what do you mean you planned my future for me? Where’s my control?” (It isn’t true but it’s a part of the mental illness.)
Honestly this is a good contender for “third comfort fic.”

The morning after getting spectacularly and embarrassingly drunk, Ethan has no idea how he's supposed to explain himself. Not only did he demonstrate just how not okay he actually is, but he's pretty sure he thoroughly humiliated himself in front of both Chris and Leon.
Chris, meanwhile, knows exactly what he has to do this morning. It's something he's been putting off for a long, long time, but with the scare Ethan gave him last night, he can't put it off any longer.
