Summary
Rogue waves are unpredictable oceanic phenomena characterised by their size and aggression. Unlike tsunamis, rogue waves are surface waves and tend to come as a result of strong winds and smaller waves colliding to create a sudden, large wave.
Billy Hargrove has never truly known the meaning of peace. Caught in storm after storm since he was very young. In adolescence he was volatile, even if you really knew him, there was no real way of telling when he'd had enough. All you could do was brace yourself or embrace him.
"Rogue Waves" is a mostly canon compliant retelling of Stranger Things from Billy's perspective, head canons apply to fill in blanks. Full canon divergence begins between seasons 3 and 4, and continues into post season 5 epilogue.

And there it was: the demogorgon, a nightmarish silhouette towering before him. Mike's breath caught in his throat, a lump of fear and disbelief as the creature's monstrous maw opened wide, unleashing a spine-chilling roar that echoed like a death knell in the night.

Sorry if this is lame and ooc (out of character), It's my first fic. I didn't see much of this random rare pair, so I thought I might as well try write something. I also just got so sick of "the older boy" and "the younger" when they're not even a year apart with Jonathan being between August and November of 1967 (lol) and Billy being March 29th 1967.
