Summary
Louis survives his transformation. Having lost everything, including his purpose, he leans on his background as a son of healers to carve out a life as a rural doctor in Inundo. But the crown has eyes and ears everywhere, and word eventually reaches King Wilhelm and his partisans. Unable to afford the potential political consequences of dragging an eldan war criminal back into the public eye, but still wanting to keep his former nemesis close, he decides to press-gang the eldan medicine man into service in the Royal Healing Wing.

Summary
