Pre-requisite for my unpublished book Woodbine. Five animals wander the landscape after pulling mountains from the earth, pondering their newfound mortality, and theorising what mankind may do in retaliation without the knowledge of the beastly god the mountains keep from destroying them.

Dark energon, one found, was like a parasite: twisting and deforming the mind until all that is left is anger, with no regards as to who it is directed at.Soundwave knew he was next, but he also knew he could do better than the others filling the Decepticon ranks.
He was Soundwave, one of the greatest gladiators Cybertron had ever seen, the most formidable Decepticon, the mech that kept the entire faction from crumbling within breems.
Soundwave did not make mistakes. He did not mess up.
That was what every Decepticon had been so sure of.

Everybody wants Miles to talk to them. Everybody wants Miles to spill his thoughts and feelings out like it doesn't matter. Everybody wants Miles to be happier, to be more confident, to forget what went down only a few months ago.
Miles wants Saint Abernathy.
But Saint Abernathy is a very hard man to find.Wandering through the woods during hunting season is never a good idea, especially when barely-trained hunting dogs are on the loose. But what were the chances that the search for a long-gone ghost would become such a disaster?
But that’s just how life works for an Abernathy. No matter how good the slice you cut out for yourself, no matter how much shit you’ve worked through, it’s always waiting around the corner, baying, eager to run up and bite you in the ass. -

Summary
The Autobots didn't know how to react when they realised that the outside of their hangar was completely coated with snow. They didn't know how to react when all of their communications dropped because of the storm that caused the coating of snow.
The humans, however, did.For the first time in Primus knows long, the Autobots are getting a well-deserved day off. (Totally legal and approved by Fowler.)
Also Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack have something in common for once- an intense hate of snow combined with a bad mood. -

"Dude, you could chase the 'cons down so fast with those. I gotta get some-"Ratchet was not really one for drawing attention to himself. This, however, does not seem to discourage the annoying team of misfits he was now stuck on Earth with.
Basically Cliff, Bee, and a surprise mystery character all want to hear the sirens. Ratchet does not.

Soundwave was always thought to be a stone-cold, emotionless robot. Which he generally was.
Well, until Percival - a fat fluffy cat- unwillingly wandered into his life.
Now, Soundwave feels a strong protective urge for this squishy thing and would rather die than let it go anywhere, which means he needs to do some research on this animal quickly (especially as it likes to use his mask as a scratching pole.)This is great.

When Optimus and Arcee bring back a weird musical instrument back from a mine, the bots all assume that they're in for a day or two of fun. Ratchet assumes the worst, obviously.
