“Go for it, then, but I hope you're prepared to lose.” Cheng Xiaoshi laughs again, letting the controller go and pressing his forehead to Lu Guang’s shoulder as he shakes, grinning. He’s so warm. Has he always been this touchy?
Could Lu Guang have been making him smile like this in every timeline since the first? Looking hurts his chest. He squeezes the controller a little tighter. “...Everyone needs a few tries to succeed.”

In a post apocalyptic, post danger days world, it's been quite some time since the days of being carefree killjoys in the California desert with the sun on their backs and music on the stereo.
Fun Ghoul is the warden of a little killjoy town south of the dreaded battery city. He protects it tooth and claw, or gun and boot as it were.
He lives in a permanently parked trailer on the edge of town with his best friend in the whole world, Jet Star. They've lived there for years... until one fateful day when Ghoul found and brought the lost long Party Poison back from Draculoidization.
Party is often visited by his prickly brother Kobra, who's only soft spot seems to be for him.
The four of them try to get along the best they can. Really, they do try.This is a story about family, grudges, and sacrifice... with just the slightest hint of good old fashioned killjoy fun.

She regretted not feeling it when she had the chance. She regretted pushing Enid away before her coma. The smell of her was in her lungs but she found herself longing for strawberry conditioner.
It was needful, regret. It made her skin itch like hives.
