Satoru’s hands clenched into fists. “You’re twisting my words.”
“I’m hearing them just fine.”
“You’re not,” Satoru bit out, jaw tight. “I—” He sucked in a sharp breath. “I saw you die.”
Suguru’s anger faltered.
Satoru’s fists clenched. “I saw myself kill you. In the future. Don’t ask me how I just, I could see visions of the future. And I killed you.”
For a moment, Suguru couldn’t speak. It wasn’t Satoru’s admission that he had seen a future where he died that stunned him—it was the realization that he had seen the future, too. He’s so absorbed in the webnovel he’s reading that he doesn’t even look their way, but then that person clears their throat, catching his attention anyway.
