Summary
The Codfather was a lot of things. He was annoying, petty, selfish, and a bit of a crybaby, but he wasn’t stupid.
Or at least that’s what he thought until he fell in love with a demon. Apparently he wasn’t smart enough to avoid the charms of a certain teal-haired villain from the Nether.
How unfortunate that the same demon our favourite fishboy fell for was King Xornoth’s brother… he certainly won’t be taking that well, especially after everything he did to banish the guy in the first place.

Tango sounded worried, and he knew he should get up, find out what was wrong, what he’d done or what he needed to do, but he couldn’t make himself move. He was too tired of everything.
Joel wouldn’t stop with that stupid toy bit, and had even gotten a few hermits to join in. He got Tango to join in, and even knowing it wasn’t malicious, it still hurt. There were so many things in his head that hurt to think about, but they were all he could think about.

Summary
Swamp Duo AU is a project mainly being showcased on my Tumblr, in which Shelby uncovers an ancient primordial Codfather hibernating under the Evermoor after a centuries-long bout of grief, and then they become friends and bond over feelings of failure and not living up to their own and other's expectations. It will mostly be explored through drawings and short text, but here is where I'll put any writings I do end up making :D

fWhip continued on without pause. “Can I see? Grian said they were really cool!” Jimmy watched him hop over, wiggling his toes into the dirt and messing up the area he’d prepared. He leaned forward and held his hands behind his back as if to look as innocently as possible.
The idea of showing his wings made the blood drain from his face. He swallowed nervously, eyes darting anywhere but the goblin in front of him. The last thing he wanted was to show his wings. They weren’t as majestic or grandiose as Grian’s, and now fWhip expected them to be.
They were small and didn’t even reach as wide as his arms when he spread them. They were an ugly yellow, barely twinkling gold in the sun. He couldn’t even fly with them. His wings were pathetic. Not worth seeing. Ugly and weak.
Or, Jimmy is pushed beyond his limits and can’t bear to see his own wings anymore.

His first thought is to remove it from his person and put it somewhere safe. He obviously isn’t very safe to be around right now. What if he loses it? Or if he’s too reckless and it cracks and shatters? Yet, he feels like he shouldn’t leave without it. Maybe he’s making a big mistake, maybe his guard was let down just enough for the corruption to get in his head, maybe he’s being foolishly sentimental and doesn’t want to let go of his sibling again. So instead, he keeps it with him.
He’s probably made some enemies today. This crystal can't get into the wrong hands.
Scott takes the Xornoth crystal with him to exile and things change from there.
