Jimmy was flying over the mountians of Rivendell. Searching the snow peaks for the tale tale blue roofs of the mountianious kingdom. He had just finished a new build in the Cod Empire exciting to show his boyfriend the improvement since his last build. Things seemed like normal till he flew cose to the building trying to find the elf. Ice spikes littered the land around Rivendell. Sharp and deadly. The snow seemed to be falling faster than normal to. Jimmy's brow furrowes in confusion as he landed in frount of Scott's house. The ice spikes seemed larger here. He knocked on the door, causiuos.
No answer.
Scott always answers the door or if not him one of the servents in the grand house. Jimmy tried to push the door open. It seemed sealed shut. He put all of his weight on the door cringing as it crunches at the hinges. Finally the door swang open throwing Jimmy on to the floor, cod hat almost falling off. He knew if Scott were here he would have laughed at the boy. But he wasn't. The house had a thin layer of ice all around it, iceicles growing from the ceiling. "Scott?" He called out. If Scott was in here he couldn't have been in the best health.
Jimmy slowly walked up the spirl staircase in the corner of the house. It was so quite the sound of ice crunching beneth his feet almost deafening. Jimmy always tryed to dress for the cold weather of Rivendell but even with a jumper Scott had got esspecialy made for him to wear there he was freezing.
Upstairs things looked almost in place side for the ice everywhere. Apart for two letters, the only thing not iced over, placed in middle of the bed. He slowly walked over hands running up down his arms trying to keep him warm. The letters were in lovly envelops normal for Rivendell across the first one in Scott's usuail scrolly writing "Emperors of all lands" and the other "Sunflower". Jimmy picked up the one addressed Sunflower a comman pet name Scott used for him. He pealed of the seal teal wax with the Rivendell creast inbeaded. He pulled out the note almost afraid to read it. After a minete of staring at the writing he started to read.
"Dear Sunflower,
When your reading this I'm already gone. I'm so sorry Jimmy. I had to go to keep them safe. To keep you safe. I'm a danger to you all I hope you understand. I just wanted to tell you this is not at all your falt. If anything your the one thing that made be debate staying. I love you Jimmy. I love you so much. I wish it didn't have to be like this I really do. I don't know how long I'll be gone or where I'm even going but don't come look for me. I know you with your amazing kind heart are going to want to but don't. Just know I'm thinking about you every day I'm away and when I get back your going to be the first one i see. Because I am going to come back I can promise you that. I want to remind you have amazing you are Jimmy. How beautiful your empire is no matter what people say. How important you are to all the people around you. How smart you are deep down even, if it is quite deep down. I may not be here to remind you but you are amazing. Read this when ever you need a reminder. So see you soon my love.
From Scott Your Petal"
Tears ran down Jimmy's face a single drop falling on the paper mearly missing the words scrolled over it. Jimmy quickly cloased the letter careful not to ruin the beautiful words within. Turning in the ice covered bedroom his eyes landed on Scott's wardrobe. He opened the doors carfully trying not to ruin the room of his petal to much. He pulled out Scott's favourite jumper a blue one with gold antlers one the neckline and sleave cuffs.
He slides it over his head pasking in the smell of his boyfriend, tears still rolling down his face. He dosn't know what to do anymore. Scott's gone. And he dosn't know where. How long had he been missing? How had he not reilised something was wrong.
He curled up on the floor back leaning on the end of Scott's bed. The letter pressed close against his chest tears falling rapidly. He sat their for who knows how long before his comm went off. Slowly trying to hold in his tears he pulled it out. Breath hitching again when he saw the poppy sticker on the back matching with Scott. It was Lizzie.
Lizzie: Jimmy where are you? I thought we were meeting for tea at mine.
Shit. Jimmy had completely forgot about that. What can he say now? He can't just show up like this and act like everythings fine. He can't tell them what happened because he dosn't know honestly. But he can't stay here. Shakily he replies,
Jimmy: I'm at Scott's. Come, Please
Not even a second later his comm buzzes again.
Lizzie: I'm on my way. Are you okay?
Jimmy dosn't even have the energy to relpy to that.
Soon Jimmy hears foot steps downstairs and his name being called. His tears start agian louder this time. He hears Lizzie swear under her breath before she runs up the stairs. She dosn't evn stop to take in the scene before her before Jimmy's in her arms. "Shhh...it's okay. It's okay Jimmy." Jimmy slowly feels himself slow shaking stopping, feeling safe in his sisters arms. Finding his voice he says quitly but fast "He's gone." Lizzie pulls back looking him up and down looking around the room as if just noe taking it in. "Who? Scott?" She asks slowly trying not to push him. Jimmy just nods. Jimmy silently just gets up grabing the other letter of the bed and handing it to her. Lizzie looks at it for a minete before pulling out her comm. She types something before turning to Jimmy grabing his hand and saying "We're going to Kathrines so we can all read this together" No, Jimmy can't see everyone like this he'll never hear the end of it from Fwhip. "But-"
Lizzie cuts him of "nope no protests."
Now Jimmy finds himself in House Blossom everyone slowly arriving. Lizzie's talking to Kathrine the letter now in the flower princess' hands. Everyone seems to notice the atmosphere of the room as all of their faces look sad dispite knowing nothing. Jimmy just sits in his seat staring at the one next to him. The one Scott normally sits in. Where they hold eachother hands while giving difficult speaches. Where Scott holds Jimmy back while he argues with Fwhip only for Lizzie and Shub to hold them both back once Fwhip insults Jimmy. He hadn't even noticed everyone else had sat down till the seat he's staring at is filled by a very colourful man. Joel. He places a hand on Jimmy's shoulder while he sits. "Lizzie thought you should have both of us sat next to you." He explians quitely. All Jimmy can think is how happy he is to have his family. Then Kathrine starts the meeting.
"I'm sure you're all wondering why I've called you hear today. Well..we have a bit of an emergency with one of our own. Today Jimmy went to go see Scott." Suddently all eyes are on him and all Jimmy can think is how much of a mess he must look, as he looks toward the table in front of him. "Scott unfortunatly was not there." Murmers start around the group. "Scott's house was as Lizzie described covered in ice. Not a serface left untouched. There was this letter sitting on Scott's bed. Its adressed to all of us" Jimmy remembered the letter in his pocket he disided then no-one would know of that one. That letter was for him and Scott to know about only. The room was silent as Kathrine pealed off the seal and pulled out the letter. Then she began to read.
"Hello fellow emperors,
As I'm sure you've found out by know I'm gone." Jimmy's eyes started to tear up again at those words. Scott was gone. Lizzie pulled him close by an arms round his shoulder. " I have gone due to my risk to you all. My newly discovered ice powers have brought nothing but harm on Rivendell and I don't want to cause more harm to any of you or your empires. It is with best intention I leave. In my absence I ask Jimmy the Codfather to run Rivendell with strong help from the council. As the closes thing to an heir Rivendell has this seems like the only reasonable choice. Lizzie, Joel I ask you to look after Jimmy as I'm sure you will. Make sure he takes care of himself and dosn't over work himself in this difficult time. I ask none of you come to look for me I will return when I am ready for this I need your trust. I am deaply sorry to leave you all. I am esspecially sorry to you Gem I never ment for that to happen. So goodbye for now,

Their was a beat for silence while everyone processed what they had just heard before chaos errupted. Lizzie and Joel crowded around Jimmy comforting him as his cries got louder. Fwhip, Sausage and Gem seemed to be arguing aboit something. Shrub and Kathrine looked at eachother conserned. Joey was shouting something unable to be heard over the chaos. Pix and Pearl seeming to have the most siverlised conversation in the room.
"Quite!" Kathrine called over the chaos bringing the room back to order. "Okay, obviously this is some quite drastic news so we need to be siverlised. Who wants to speak first?" Fwhip's hand shot into the air Gem's head hitting on the table as he did.
Kathrine nodded for him to speak. "Good riddens I say. He was a danger to us all after he struck Gem with those horrible powers of his! As cowardice as it is running away from all his problems leaving us to solve it." Jimmy could believe him. "Wait what do you mean after he struck Gem" Pix questioned.
"Gem was being the kind soul she is and helping him with his ice powers when he lost control and hit her with them! Shes got a white streak in her hair and ids always cold thanks to him." Sausage calls.
What? Scott told him it was all an acciendent and now their here tring to make him seem like villian. He left to protect them for cods sake. Jimmy couldn't help himself and lashed out. "No. No you don't get to take this and make him seem like a villian." Jimmy practicaly shouted Lizzie and Joel steping back. "He left to protect all of us. He left all his friends, his family, his empire to protect us and now you're here calling him a coward. I don't care how much you hate me Fwhip you don't get to call Scott a coward , when he's not even here, and get away with it."
Jimmy calmed down a little look between all his friends. So much worry, consern in their faces but also fear. Fear of him just for protecting the man he loved. He couldn't take it storming out the meeting hall. He knew where he wanted to go the only place he ever felt safe. The only place he ever felt truly at home.
His and Scott's date cave.
Lizzie was calling back at him. He just turned around telling her "I'll be back at yours before sundown. Defend Scott for me." Trying to give her a reasuring smile before taking off.
He landed on the soft grass inside the cave finaly feeling at peace. Him and Scott had made this place a comman meeting point since they started courting. It was a santuary for them both. A place where they were no longer emperors or champions of gods or anyone important. They were just two people. An elf and cod deeply in love.
Jimmy slowly walked toward the ponds along one side of the cave. He pulled of his boots climbing into the pond. The cods swimming happily in the pond greeted him cheerily. A slight smile rising to his lips.
He remembered the first time he did this after finding out he can talk to the cod.He had done the exact same thing looking back at Scott with confusion on his face. He had laughed at elf slowly climbing back out grabing his hands. He remembers Scott's protest about getting in the water but Jimmy only had to look at him and he agreed. Eventually they had ended up splashing eachother laughter echoing of the cave. They had both come out trenched. Everyone around Rivendell looked at them as they walked past like they had just swam in sea. Scott had sent him a letter later that night complaining at how his advisiors had scoldes him for getting so wet. Jimmy had fallen asleep hapoy that night. Very different as he suspected he would tonight.
Jimmy stayed there for as long as he could reminicing at all the happy times in this small cave. Just as the sun was about to set he took of the balcany towards the Ocean Empire.
The sun had just set when he saw the Prisma Palce appear over the horizion. He could see his blue axolotal of a sister sat on the stairs up to place. Cod knows how long she had been sat their. Jimmy was glad he had gone to the cave. As much as he wishes he had been their at the meeting he felt so much happier having left.
Jimmy landed in front of her the consern on her face was someing he hadn't seen leave all day. "Where did you go?" She questioned taking him in to insure he was okay. "Back to Rivendell." He anwered noticing the slight smile in his voice. "What happened at the meeting?" He asked walking into the place towards the living room. Lizzie followed behind Joel joining at one point as he sat next to her when they sat on the sofa. "Umm..we desided you should stay with us. At least for a while." Lizzie explianed
"But-"
"No. Jimmy listen to Lizzie" Joel interrupted. "No.You listen to me. I have to rule 2 empires now. One is terrified, under deep snow and dosn't know what to do. How am I supposed to help either if I'm locked up here?" Jimmy questioned.
"We're not saying you can't go vist but we need to look after you Jimmy. I know how you get with stuff like this you'll forget to look after yourself" Lizzie anwered back.
"We're worried about you Jim." Joel said hand on Lizzie's shoulder. Jimmy just stared at them. He wanted to say no he wanted to stay in Rivendell, help them as much as possible but he knew Lizzie and Joel we're right. "Fine." voice light but full of emoticion. The codfather sunk into the sofa bellow him about ready to fall asleep. "We know you just want to help Jimmy. Trust me we all do to." Lizzie stated looking at Joel. " We're meeting back up tommorrow Jim. They want you there" Jimmy didn't want to go. He didn't want to see Fwhip again but he had to for Scott.
Jimmy was curled up in bed that night rereading the letter from Scott. Imagining Scott lying next to him. Hands around his own waist, legs interwined. Reading the words like the secrets they always shared in wisphers. Eventually he fell asleep dreams filled with Scott. In this world or the other they both seemed to remember but not know how. Poppies. Fields of them. Holding hand through both their empires. Dancing at Lizzie and Joel's wedding before they we're even courting. And dancing in flower fields or their cave lots after that.
Tears ran down his face at the prospect of never doing that again. Then his eyes landed on s sentance on the letter. 'I will come back' he has to trust Scott he always has. With Scott things always turn out okay and he's sure it will this time.
