After your life gets turned upside down in America, you jump on the opportunity to teach in Japan. You had hoped the new job would be a nice change of pace, but you quickly find that class 1A can't help but be in trouble. It doesn't help that you and your coworker keep finding yourselves in increasingly awkward situations together. You decide it's best to try and focus on guiding the 20 soon-to-be heroes to the best of your ability. Besides, if you ignore the butterflies in your stomach, they'll probably just go away.

He reminded you of a cat in that way—his aloof nature belied a fierce protectiveness that would easily destroy anyone who threatened someone he cared about. It was beautiful.
You weren't a threat, so what was the harm in letting him monitor Eri with you? “Sure,” you conceded. “Stay.”

"Were you acting back then too?" Sokka asked, resting against the platform. One of Zuko's guards shot him a look of anger and disbelief, but Zuko shook his head discreetly. "What even happened between you two?" Sokka continued.
The flash of her robes caught his eye and Zuko turned back to look at her. She was smiling sweetly at another noble who Zuko had marked as difficult, with Aang by her side nodding along to the man's words. She felt his eyes on her and looked back to him, her gaze curious. Zuko's heart stumbled across a beat, and he fought the urge to rush to her. To take her in his arms and away from here. Zuko swallowed and turned back to look at Sokka.
"I don't know. After the war, things changed. I thought they did for all of us." Zuko murmured.
"Yeah, they did. But we got to choose that change, Zuko."

And then Fulcrum clambered onto the ghost after Atollon and fell dead asleep on the cargo hold floor with a black eye and broken ribs. Sabine wanted to take a sharpie to the man’s face but Zeb persuaded her (wrestled the marker out of her hand) against it. He showed the ex-agent to Kanan's bunk (it’s not like Kanan ever used it) where Alex– well, he was Kallus then– slept for fourteen hours straight. Zeb shouldn’t have felt as bad for him as he did.
Zeb realizes he's head over heels for a certain blonde bastard and can't figure out what to do about it.
