The third time Hunter experienced the will to descend, was the time he finally gave in to his unnerving curiosity.
He’d been asleep in his bed this time. Hunter never dreamed. It was something he’d grown used to; while others dreamed about wonders and horrors behind their wildest imaginations, Hunter simply experienced a hollow black void in his mind where nobody tread. Not even himself. It was like for those brief few hours of rest he was allowed, he no longer existed. It was so commonplace that Hunter hadn’t even brought it up to Belos, who likely would have just shrugged it off anyway like he usually did.
But tonight, it was different. Hunter didn’t dream, but a thought permeated the inky void like a bolt of freezing lightning.
“You MUST descend. You MUST go now. Under the castle.”
