Summary
With restaurant reservations fully booked for Valentine’s Day, Kojiro Nanjo prepares a special menu for guests in advance. Naturally, he needs a taste tester to make sure the food meets the highest of standards before the big night. That is how his longtime friend and skateboarding rival Kaoru Sakurayashiki receives – and accepts – an invitation to meet him at the restaurant after hours to taste test a multi-course gourmet Italian dinner.
If it all seems rather romantic, well…that just means Kojiro did a good job creating the perfect Valentine’s Day ambience, and surely his customers will appreciate it. Maybe even the ever-critical Kaoru will appreciate it.
(Rated T for suggestive conversations and alcohol consumption, though no one gets drunk.)

Kaoru couldn't sleep.
It was all the stupid gorilla’s fault, Kaoru thought again, flipping his pillow over to the cold side. Kaoru had gotten so used to sleeping tucked up against that warm, bronzed pile of muscle, that now that he was forced to sleep without him, he couldn’t sleep at all.
He’d tried all his usual tricks. Chamomile tea. Lavender oil on his pillow. Meditation, even though he hated every moment of it. Not even his carefully curated playlist of lullabies could get him to drift off.
Kojiro had ruined him.

Prompto slides into the empty seat next to Gladio and grins at him. “Dude,” he says, shrugging out of his coat and shaking snow from his hair, “why didn’t you tell us you’re moonlighting as a model?”
Gladio folds his arms over his chest. “I ain’t.”

Ignis has an answer but he reflexively looks over his shoulder, to gauge Gladio’s opinion before offering his own. Only, Gladio isn’t there—he’s not going to be there ever again.
“Ignis,” Prompto says softly. “What should we—what do you want us to do?”
He managed last time, when Gladio went off on his ill-advised quest. Though he knew Gladio would be back, at some point then. Now all he can see in his mind is Gladio’s blank stare, the easy way he passed what they needed into their enemy's palm and ignored their pleas.
“Iggy,” Noct urges.
“We’ll be back to collect the reward within a week,” Ignis says, more confidently than he really feels.
They have to be able to survive on their own. There’s no other option.Alternatively: Gladio’s gone. Not off on a noble quest. Not dead, but something worse—now he’s their enemy.

“Tadashi,” Kaoru said as he entered the room, nodding to his coworker and preparing to relieve him of his shift. Agent Kikuchi Tadashi was assigned the day shift. From six in the morning to six in the evening, spying on—er, surveilling Shindo Ainosuke every step.
Which meant that from six in the evening to six in the morning, it was Kaoru’s job to spy on—er, surveil Diet Member and (suspected) criminal kingpin and (likely) evil mastermind Shindo Ainosuke.
But in the process, Agent Sakurayashiki Kaoru ends up spying on Shindo's definitely not hot friend instead.

Hiromi counts a few seconds before he lets his eyes wander again towards the framed photos flanking the TV screen. These were the same things he’d been looking at while Oka-san was putting the pizza in the oven.
But it’s only just now that he finds a picture that causes his heart to skip. It’s smaller than the other frames so it’s pushed somewhere to the front, and in it, he’s pretty sure that’s a younger Oka-san laughing next to a blond woman who must have spent some time in the tanning bed before that picture was taken. Hiromi can’t see it too clearly where he’s sitting, but he thinks that there’s a pink smudge on one of Oka-san’s cheeks. The same pink on the tanned woman’s lips.
“Ah! There you are.” Finally, Oka-san pushes the door shut, marching back to the table. “Hm? Something catch your eye?”

Because it goes like this: Kaji Akihiko, who absolutely is not falling for his bandmate, and who has not memorized said bandmate’s permutation of shifts at this particular coffee shop that is also called Honeypot, has very occasionally, as in, no more than once week, come in and paid too much for an overpriced coffee for the privilege of spending a couple hours at upmarket café under the guise of improving productivity, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he’s secretly obsessed with said bandmate.

Summary
In which, sleep is something that is hard to come by for Tadashi, not with the many masks he wears. The Shindo estate is a place where things are preserved more so a mausoleum and not a home, but this, in the quiet hours of the apartment they’d purchased for themselves, this is the quiet notes of a home, in between the salt of the sea and the small garden they’ve started to grow.
(or, Tadashi has a nightmare, Ainosuke comforts him.)

Summary
Time moved quickly in the Shindo estate after the lady of the house had passed. The funeral was very formal and very heartless and passed in a blur of well wishes, condolences and comfortless hugs. Ainosuke saw his father very briefly at the wake, who was preoccupied with thanking guests and networking. He didn’t recognise many faces in the crowd, seeking the comfort of his mother’s friends and finding none. He did find himself in the company of the head gardener of the estate though, who offered him a real cuddle, squeezing him tightly, the first true embrace he’d felt since before his mother died.
“I’d like you to meet my son,” the gardener had told Ainosuke. He gently pushed a young boy forwards. He looked a little older, Ainosuke guessed, but not by much. “He asked to come help around the estate after school and I thought you two might get along.”

A kinda-sorta retelling of the story from the point of view of a young boy and his friend, and skateboards, and roses, and love, and loss, and *fun*.
