Watching Steve sit alone that first day- even with his ex and her new squeeze crowding his table- former King of Hawkins High with his bruised up face and puppy dog eyes, and apparently, knight in shining armor tendencies, Eddie never stood a chance.
It's Jeff, in the end, that finally badgers Eddie enough to let Steve be dragged over to their table- into Hellfire, and Dungeons & Dragons, and hopefully right into Eddie's arms- after Steve intervenes to stop Jeff being harrassed in the halls.
Now Eddie just needs to figure out what he's going to do with all of it.
Aka a hellfire adopts Steve fic, because give the boy some friends (and a boyfriend).

"Please, take her!" The demon with red hair begs him; he's carrying a young girl in his arms, she looks hurt and she's bleeding and yet the demon doesn't look tempted by the blood. "You have a weapon with you... I'll let you kill me because I don't know what I am anymore... I don't want to hurt anyone."
Giyuu is confused, of course, the logical thing to do would be to get rid of the demon and take the girl to someone who can heal her (maybe to the butterfly estate if she's stable enough to endure the journey).
But the demon looks distressed, his eyes are in pain and he doesn't look like he's killed anyone in his life. His hair is long, tied up into a ponytail, wearing a green haori with dark squares...
