it was very simple: luffy was lifting his head from his plate and he hadn’t even looked up before sanji knew, out of sheer familiarity, he was gonna ask for more sausages. sanji was already handing luffy the plate when he started to mumble his request, around a mouthful of food. it was nothing out of usual and no one would have even noticed - not even sanji! - but zoro just had to scoff and say you’re so easy on him, love cook.

Summary
Three times Luffy enjoyed being pampered by Sanji’s hand.
He couldn’t really tell when things had shifted, when Sanji had become a tad more than the others. It had just sort of happened – one day they were mere friends and the next they were kissing. It had been a big deal for Sanji, Luffy remembered that perfectly. To him however, it had simply felt like the natural order of things. He had wanted to kiss Sanji and he’d done it, so why bother wondering about why?

Sanji couldn’t say the island was “weird,” per se, because every island in the Grand Line was weird. They all had crazy weather or crazy animals or crazy people. This one, however, had felt off since they first arrived. To Sanji, at least. Luffy, on the other hand, had run ahead as recklessly as always to explore the forest that seemed to cover most of the island. Sanji, as always, headed toward the market first. It was there that he heard about a peculiar fruit that grew all across the island.
He ran to find his captain immediately. That idiot never listened to his lectures on not eating strange things.

He was six when it happened. Well, there were two things that happened at that time. First was his imprisonment. Dark and lonely and quiet. The other was his curse. Painful and evil and loud. Both of those occurrences were his biological father’s fault. One was to throw him away so he’d never have to see him again and the other to insure that he would be hurting for the rest of his life.
