Summary
Mel had gotten used to loneliness in the ton after the only friend in her club had left for the continent. Four long seasons later, she had been accustomed to the burden of society and her reputation as a spinster and caregiver. But Doctor Langdon has returned to good society once more, without explanation but carrying more than a fair share of his own burden. Perhaps, it’s troublesome to handle it all on one’s own.
