Summary
Gwen Sparrow has been dead for ten years - she'd died on Mutiny Island, and her death only fuelled Jack's quest for revenge and the retrieval of the Black Pearl. But come the confrontation on the Isla de Muerta, and she's alive once more, only she remembers being sent to Davy Jones' Locker by the Kraken by her brother's side, remembers battling Cutler Beckett and Davy Jones himself by Shipwreck Island, years into the future.
The sea will swallow you whole if you let it, was the first lesson the Sparrows learnt. Don't let it, was the second.
Gwen Sparrow died during a sea battle - she hadn't expected to wake up, for she remembers being very distinctly dead. Only, she did wake up, on the Isla de Muerta, years into the past. She doesn't really want to go back to being dead, and her brother is completely clueless about the things that are coming for them. What is she to do, but to help him? She has the gift of foresight, after all; the tides flow in her bones, and there are waves rippling under her skin, with the Pearl beneath her feet and her brother by her side, they'd be unstoppable.
