Yuna had made checklists and organized budgets and shook coaches’ hands and learned how to negotiate and delegate and advocate, all in service of protecting and preserving Shane and this precious, enormous gift. There were a million ways for his journey to go wrong, and only one way for it to go right. She was competent, she was capable, she’d done everything right, everything by the book — and twenty years later, she feels like she didn’t rise to the moments that truly mattered. She mentored the career, at times, she did not mother the boy.
And yet Shane, a marvelous miracle all his own, had figured out those lessons anyways.

Summary
“It needs to be airtight,” said Shane, folding his laptop and laying it on the bedside table. “It can’t be—we can’t just put out a statement, ‘Oh, we’re friends now.’ We need to be seen together. In public. Becoming friends.” He took off his glasses, set them on the laptop.
“Yes, I know,” said Ilya. “We decided. I will approach you.”
(Set at some point post-Season 1. Shane and Ilya need to establish the start of their "friendship" in the public eye. Naturally, this becomes seeing how hard they can covertly flirt with each other. Naturally, that becomes sexual roleplaying as a version of themselves that didn't have an almost decade-long situationship.)

That doesn't surprise him even a little, except - "There's like four boxes in here," he says, incredulous, when he grabs the tote from Benny. Benny sighs again.
"I had to promise them Canada gets first crack at the saws whenever they meet up with us."
"That's a hefty price."
"Hollander tried to negotiate some light equipment tampering and had to be talked down."
