Children are a rare in the Pride Ring, especially as sinners. What sorts of deeds in their short lives would lead a child to be cast into Hell? While Alastor never particularly cared for children, he's always been a bit curious about that, and about how growing up in Hell would impact their mental development. So when he stumbles upon one who doesn't seem too annoying, he decides observing her might make for some good entertainment.

It was easy to fade into the background of the hotel. Being a skittish and shy deer demon made it easy to slip under the radar when other more attention grabbing personalities were present.
That doesn't mean she goes unnoticed. She goes out of her way to help Alastor which brings forth the beginning of their relationship.
