Things have been good— besides some lingering regret over not killing Shroud and the careful consolidating of corporatizing Mecha Man with dispatch work, Robert’s been alright. Hell, he even bought a bed recently.
Things spiral pretty quickly when he’s a victim of some sort of bizarro mugging and gets turned into a cat. Surprisingly, it doesn’t even rank in the top ten worst experiences of his life.

Summary
For the most part, people around here trust him, even the street urchins and ankle biters, and it makes his work easier, that’s for damn sure. Case and point, most of the kids taken by his current dear little child trafficker are from Crime Alley. So, by all means, he figures there’d be minimal resistance when it came to the rescue. Or dare he say, the liberation? One glance at the iconic red helmet and the kids listen.
They surely as hell don’t come out fists swinging.
Jason busts a child trafficking operation and has the unlucky experience of running into not one, but two of his family members, one who he had no idea was going to be in the same country, let alone the same city.

It doesn’t make sense why Dick is here, sitting in the Dean’s office of Gotham Academy with Jason stood beside him and a hoard of pissy parents flanking them from all sides. There’s no way Dick is at the top of any emergency contact list. Given the severity of the allegations being made and the proposed punishments, Dick doesn’t feel qualified to be the one dealing with this.
He stays anyway. Jason called for him, after all.

Jason’s body is killing him. It’s been pouring outside all day, which has every joint in his miserable body creaking like he’s the fucking Tin Man. He and Babs have been standing (or sitting, in Barbara’s case) in line for barely an hour, and already Jason wishes he hadn’t left the apartment today. Pain shoots through his legs and hips no matter how much he fidgets and shifts his weight. His back prickles with pins and needles. And don’t even get him started on his neck, which is so sore he can hardly turn his head without wincing.
In hindsight, he probably should have brought the cane. Not that he'll ever admit that to Roy; the guy would never let him live it down.

Felix doesn’t mean to say it, is the thing. He means to tell Sylvain to fuck off, colorfully, for his use of the word “deflower.” He means to tell him that he’s not worried, shut up. He means, more than anything else, to get them to drop this subject and never pick it back up again.
Instead, for some fucking reason, he opens his mouth and asks: “Would you?”
