This almost doesn't feel like a fanfiction, maybe 'cause I've watched neither The Thick of It nor Dr Who so far (though planning to remedy the latter). This reads more like the book that a bookseller will recommend to you whilst you're browsing their shop, so you buy it on a whim, and it ends up being one of your favourites for years to come.

The best writing style I've ever seen in fanfiction. But the characterisations are also top-notch. And the plot is intriguing. And the romance is incredibly realistic, and well, romantic. And the minor characters are great. It's all great, I really have nothing negative to say about this wonderful story.
