Unsettled and sick, the silence stretched between them for a handful of heart-clenching beats as suspicious golden eyes narrowed, continuing to sear into Roy’s soul. Realization reared its ugly head and delved a hand right into his chest, poisonous claws digging deep as it whispered odious remarks. He stared at the boy before him, feeling as if he was seeing him for the first time, an entire week’s worth of denial crumbling away.

Summary
After being forced on a vacation or getting fired, self-proclaimed workaholic Xiao ended up in someone else's apartment in a city he knew nothing about. After a chance meeting, he agreed to help out a struggling theatre teacher to get his play over the finish line. All to fill his time and make the best out of the situation. At least, that had been Xiao's intention.
A romcom filled with overcoming gifted child burnout in adulthood, realising that love comes in all forms, accidentally adopting a group of students and slowly falling for the theatre teacher. All set during the wintertime in Mondstadt while trying to put together a queer retelling of Swan Lake.
