Summary
When Kaveh discovers that Alhaitham has been reading a book about human sexuality and kinks, he generously offers to assist Alhaitham with some sexual exploration. It’s a risky proposal, and one that could end very badly—thanks to their falling-out years ago, the two of them have trust issues galore.
But it turns out that Kaveh and Alhaitham are surprisingly good at trust and communication when it comes to sex…which raises some questions about the nature of their relationship, and where exactly this whole experiment is leading them.
“Look,” Kaveh says, “if you’re going to approach sexual pleasure like an experiment, most potential partners won’t take too kindly to the idea of you having sex with them for science. Perhaps he should be more bothered by the fact that he never actually studied or learned this language than he is, but as Alhaitham heads out to investigate the grave with Cyno, to learn what happened to these people, there are plenty more pressing problems to worry about. Assassins, betrayal, and ancient secrets plague them on their path to uncover a dangerous plot that threatens all of Sumeru, and suddenly it’s all they can do to survive. With allegiances shifting like the desert sands and primordial powers stirring, Cyno suddenly finds himself unsure of who can really be trusted, while Alhaitham . . . Alhaitham finds himself in a fight for his very soul . . .

“Childe?” Zhongli’s voice sounds from the direction of the doorway. “Has there been an incident?”

When Zhongli brings home a strange creature named "Chonkli", although Zhongli finds himself in possession of a new steadfast companion, Childe finds himself in possession of a new archnemesis.

They both watch in silence as Al-Haitham, ritual worshiper of the daily workplace routine, a transcendently habitual creature set in his ways since the moment he accepted this job offer, reaches thoughtlessly into his desk organizer for a pen and instead comes up with three-quarters of a pastel blue crayon.
Al-Haitham pauses. He looks down at the crayon in his hand; then, at the document he was about to sign. Next, he casts his gaze across the rest of his desk, where it lands on a sheet of scratch-n-sniff stickers in place of his post-its and a heart-shaped hole punch replacing his stapler. His hand visibly twitches.
I will get you, he mouths at Kaveh. Then he puts down the crayon and signs the phrase without breaking eye contact, just to be thorough.
Good luck, moron, Kaveh signs back. Then he blows a kiss.
