Shrimpo is a spiteful, hateful Toon. That’ll never change, and the others have (mostly) accepted that.
Shrimpo knows that he’s different in some way. Not that it matters, since he’s better than anyone else. He’s stronger than any other Toon (so he says), faster (absolutely not true) and smarter (incredibly debatable).
Sure, he may not know everything, but it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t need to when he’s so clearly better!
(The word count is a little misleading. The majority of it comes from the archived old version. I might eventually split them into different works someday, when the rewrite is further written)

As the oldest continued to murmur soft reassurances and praise, he suddenly called Leo an idiot. It had been so unexpected, Leo burst out laughing, quickly bringing his hands to his mouth.
And became painfully aware he was able to move his arms.
Where was Mikey?
His smile fell, and he looked up, spotting the box turtle. Mikey seemed to be hunched over in pain, wheezing loudly and struggling to breathe, tears slipping past his eyes and dripping to the ground, arms shaking like crazy, and- what were those scars?
Leo stopped. "....Mikey?"
The other two looked up.
Mikey managed to smile slightly- before he collapsed.
