possibly the best-written, most heart wrenching, most satisfying confession I've ever read. Incredibly poignant dialogue (and i mean, it's not ~tragic or anything, but the framing of the stakes? writing goals tbh). Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Like theater.

It had been — good, he thought when he was alone, overwhelmingly good, taking hold of himself as he remembered Lan Wangji filling him, Wei Wuxian’s mouth around him — it had been good, but that didn’t guarantee they would want a repeat.
