Summary
In the summer of their 12th year, Hashirama and Madara first meet at the river along the borders of Senju and Uchiha lands.
It is a year later, during the shift between summer and autumn, that their secret is discovered by their families and the two friends are separated.
Their bond is nearly severed at that moment with Madara, seemingly giving up on the notion of friendship and peace, and Hashirama desperately trying to convince his old friend that there is still hope.
