Marina has 2 weeks to make new fresh beats and juggle new emotions.
Pearl's lost, she has a roof over her head and food plus almost a full college education. But she has nothing to pursue, after her family was made aware of her punk lifestyle they kind of distanced themselves. Hence even years later she does not believe she can pursue a music career because of her destructive voice and the possibility of having no one if she does.
They meet accidentally, and end up being exactly what they needed.

Summary
Following the conclusion of the Splatocalypse and their Inkopolis News deal, Pearl and Marina are gearing up for a new album. Plans are prolonged a bit by their uncooperative record label, but that isn't the only thing proving to be a problem. Following a late night where they both say a little more than they maybe should, their strong emotions towards each other get in the way even more than the label, and Marina finds herself on a completely different wavelength from Pearl for the first time in the four years she's known her.
