“Of course I’m angry!” Kaveh spins around on heel and forced himself to stare up at his roommate, barely able to keep the tremble out of his lip. “We had plans and you just…tossed them aside. Without so much as asking me!”
Alhaitham’s brows pinch together as he stares Kaveh down, as if trying to decipher a puzzle. “You could have just come with us-”
“That’s not the point!” He’s far too drunk for this. It’s getting harder and harder to fight back the sting in his eyes and the tight squeeze in his chest. “I just…I need to go to bed. We can talk about this later.”

Kaveh's carried a torch for Alhaitham pretty much since the first day they met. It's obvious to everyone but the Grand Sage himself, but Kaveh isn't ready to put himself out there and risk being shut down.
Turns out keeping his feelings to himself ends up hurting a lot more than he expected.
In which Kaveh gaslights himself (a lot), Alhaitham's bad at feelings, Cyno's jokes are terrible, and Tighnari's just trying his best.

(A realisation that has absolutely nothing to do with Ambassador Sokka - shut up, Suki.) Katara and Aang have broken up again, and the Northern Water Tribe are pushing for a match between the North and South.
Which leads Zuko and Katara to develop a genius, foolproof, only slightly drunken plan: they can pretend to date for the length of Katara’s stay in the palace, giving them both a brief reprieve from political pressures on their love lives.

Summary
Each step was unsteady as Zuko picked his way through the darkness, finding his footing uneven as if everything around him was shifting and moving. As if it were breathing beneath him. But it didn’t feel like he was inside a living thing. Not that he had any experience in being swallowed whole by giant fish monsters, but he expected it to probably be more….squishy. Foul smelling? Warmer? It felt ridiculously cold in his opinion.
“You didn’t touch the white glowy ball, did you?” A voice that was far too familiar spoke up in the dark. He reared back with a grimace as the blue glow grew stronger like a spark igniting into a grand pyre. He recoiled and held his hands up, expecting an attack as if from Azula’s flame but when nothing came, he squinted at it and noticed it was vaguely human shaped.
“The glowy ball?” His voice echoed. “You mean that orb of light?”
“Zuko?!” The sound of shock was far too loud causing him to flinch as he recognized that voice for certain.
“Water tribe.” Zuko grimaced. “What are you doing here?”
“I went fishing.” The water tribe boy gave a dry laugh. “Normally I’m a master at catching fish but this time the fish caught me when the boat capsized in the storm.”

Summary
There exists folklore of an unlikely friendship between a human and fox, a children's fable for adults centered around emotions of conflict. Some parts are quite symbolic of his and Zhongli's relationship, the Harbinger thinks. Though, Tartaglia's far from little and could never pass as a prince; in the same regard, rather than foxes, only the most revered beast within Liyue could be of interest to him. After all, what greater accomplishment is there than slaying a dragon?
Except, following his schemes getting so easily thwarted by his target, he never expected an epilogue to their story. Much less that same target proceeding to toss both his heart and mind into a storm of his own making.
