Luz takes a deep breath and continues to search for a pen. “Hi,” she says, voice muffled by the car interior, “Sorry, I wasn’t driving away, I was just getting paper so I could write you a note! See?”
Luz backs out of the car, brandishing her pen and paper, and then turns to the stranger.
“I didn’t do any damage, but I was still gonna write something because-” She stops mid-sentence, because it’s then that she gets a good look at the other woman, and all the words in her mouth turn to mush.

Now they can't physically separate without intense concentration and the risk of snapping back together... violently. They must learn to work together in order to perform their most basic life functions, as well as not drive each other up the wall.
