Ridiculously mundane, mortal, and borderline obscene to even consider.
Lestat, for his part, doesn’t seem to share Louis’ reaction. Rather, he nods in affirmation, as if they make a habit of going on dates. “But she’s ours now. We intended to keep her for the duration of our stay here and bring her home with us to France when we leave. Right, Louis?”

This is all Lestat’s fault, really, for nagging him ceaselessly about trying the hormones. It’ll be fun, Louis, where is your sense of adventure, Louis, your desire to know new things about yourself- (as if, in the past two and a half odd centuries Louis hasn’t learned quite enough about himself, thank you very much). Or perhaps it’s Armand’s, for suggesting he try them alone first. Take some of the pressure to perform off of himself and figure out his own immortal body before opening it up to another. Or Daniel’s, for rolling his eyes and going online to buy him the toy.
Or maybe, just maybe, it’s Louis' own.

“We had a little accident.” Lestat presses one hand to her back, rubs gentle circles to soothe her hyper-sensitive nerves spurred on by the blood rush. “It’s all right, she’s still learning.”
“The only thing she is learning is lack of discipline.” Louis frowns. He’s seen her feed before without a drop spilled, but still there are certain nights she comes home utterly drenched, and he doesn’t understand it. He understands so little about her sometimes, and it makes him shudder to think of the poor fool who met his end at the insatiable appetite. of a giddy little girl in search of a sugar rush.
“She did remarkably well considering…well, considering how much he squirmed.” The corner of his mouth twitches in a silent smirk. “It’s hard, with a mouth so small. She’ll try again tomorrow, won’t you ma petite?”
“Enough of this talk.”
Louis always forbids such things in his house. He frowns, but even then he looks so handsome in the soft yellow light, the long lines in his face curving like a carved saint on the altar. He pushes one bushel of golden blood-knotted hair away from her face, pins her with his narrow-eyed gaze.
“Why don’t you prepare a bath, Lestat?”

The tiny corpse lay limp on the wooden floor, a mass of blonde hair and dirty fabric discarded by his feet. Not a drop of blood had been spilled. It was his now, this stolen cloying warmth somewhere under his chest was the only residue of the child that only moments ago had begged for his help. He felt sick.
