“Come on,” Kazuki repeats, sliding his hands down his arms, until he’s holding Rei’s hands. “Bed,” he repeats, gentle, comforting. His hands are warm, just as the rest of him and Rei finds himself thinking of the kisses they shared not so long ago. Bed, he thinks and he’s suddenly dizzy with the possibilities of it.
Is it too soon for that? he wonders, as he allows Kazuki to lead him out of the office. They haven’t quite discussed what’s this thing between them, although it’s evident enough how much they care for one another: Rei did take his father down for the chance to keep his little family.
In which Rei & Kazuki continue to navigate their relationship, try to raise their daughter well despite neither knowing what they're doing, while also being in charge of a criminal empire.

Summary
The boss wants me to go back,
Rei’s note says and, somehow, Kazuki knows that’s not a new development, that the boss probably told Rei to come back at least since his birthday, he just failed to tell Kazuki anything about it.
I’m sorry we couldn’t change.
Goodbye.
Kazuki crumbles the note and throws it away, not even trying to fight back the tears streaming down his face. Of course he’d leave now, he thinks bitterly, of course he’d choose now to go back.

Sensing Kazuki's discontent, Rei exhaled through his cigarette and pursed his lips into a knowing frown, "You really want to go on that ride, do you?"
"Please?" Kazuki helpfully added.
"You have motion sickness." Rei sighed.
"It's not like it's a drop tower."
The older man scooted closer to him on the crate and nudged him on his leg.
"Please, Rei? I promise, I'll stop asking after this ride. I'll even take your shift doing the dishes later if you join me, alright?"
He took the cigarette stick out of Rei's mouth and crushed it's end on the box. Rei looked at him affronted at first, but he could only muster a sigh when the blonde wouldn't drop the subject. "One ride?"
Kazuki grinned. "One ride, and I'm all yours."
"Don't phrase it that way."
"I knew I could count on you."
With an arm slung around Rei's shoulder, the pair made their way towards the spinning atrocity whose line took up a quarter of the pier's section.
Or
Kazuki drags a reluctant Rei to this 'Disco Pang Pang' thing a few minutes away from their soba shop. Flying chaos ensues.
