Luna Amato had a problem. She adored her job has a sci-fi fantasy book editor, but it did get tiresome when a very famous, very paranoid author was demanding ridiculous lengths to keep his precious manuscript safe and sound for 'prying' eyes. Some how she was the only one he would trust to come get it, and it had to be picked up in person. Now through a whole mess of convoluted nonsense, she needed someone to drive her all the way down to San Diego from Seattle. Her career depended on it and she really didn't want to spend four days in a car with a total stranger.
Gregor Baxter had been desperately in love with Luna for over a year. She didn't know, in fact she barely knew he existed, but that was his own damn fault. Stringing together any kind of sentence around her was impossible and he was just an IT guy. What did a beautiful career woman want with him? Except she might need him for something, a business trip that would give him four whole days with her. Maybe he could figure out how to talk to her in that amount of time.
TLDR: Will this man muster up the courage to talk to his long time crush? The answer is no, he fails miserably and a chaotic god (me) shoves them into a time loop to fix it.

For, had she not been so very resolute in her refusal to speak to him after an off-season's worth of unanswered letters, it was wholly possible that – after having overheard his mother lamenting both the state of the Featherington baronry and the effects of Lady Featherington’s now rather indiscreet baby race on Penelope’s chances at a felicitous (if practical) match – Colin would have acted far more rationally than to orchestrate a not-so-clandestine, not-so-very-appropriate, and also not-at-all-truthful midnight tryst between them in the orangery at Vauxhall Gardens.
(Maybe.)
After all, if it was simply time Penelope needed to work her way towards forgiving him and restoring their once warm friendship, as his mother had suggested… Well, then a lifetime together would certainly suit that, with change to spare, wouldn’t it?
— or, Penelope is a storm Colin is determined to weather. A different take on the entrapment of it all.
