Cody knew that in a battle of wills, although his general could be as obstinate and ornery as a bantha, Dooku was destined to lose.
After several minutes of silent staring, General Dooku very, very slightly inclined his head.
Another minute of staring—and Cody needed to learn that stare, so that he could use it when his general was being a dikut of epic proportions—and Master Che nodded. “I thought so. Make sure that you are appropriately accommodating, or you will have me to answer to.”

He rounded the corner towards the square right in front of the Temple– it was different than before because there had never been a square in front of the Temple.
Obi-Wan froze in place the moment he looked up. His eyes observed the large statues one by one.
Plo Koon, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto– they were all Councillors during the War.
Obi-Wan stood in front of the statues as tears welled up in his eyes. He hadn’t seen them in a long time and these statues looked exactly like them. From facial features and expression down to the way they were seated– as if they were in a regular Council meeting.
“Look Uncle Ben! It’s–” Obi-Wan leaped to Luke and covered his mouth before he could say anything else.
“Yes, I see, it’s General Kenobi.” He hoped the beings whose attention was drawn towards them would move on quickly. “But try not to shout, Luke, alright?”
His eyes left the boy to observe the statue of himself.

Obi-Wan succeeds in the rescue, fails to prevent a war, and then negotiates the participation of the Jedi Order in the war.
Or, the one where the clones get to run the war effort the way they always should have and Obi-Wan has wings because why not.

"It’s a gorgeous pitch, and it floats its way toward Cody before breaking in a big twelve-six arc. It’s not what he’s set up for, at all, had been expecting Kenobi’s front hip sinker to the inside corner, and he has to scramble to grab it, almost overbalancing in the process. But he hauls it in, finds his center of gravity, and tries to look nonchalant as he throws the ball back to the mound. He almost thinks he’s gotten away with playing off his surprise, because Kenobi only pauses for a split second, but Cody gets the impression of narrowed eyes, a hint of a wry smirk, before his game face settles back in."
Rex is hungover. Cody is not a bullpen catcher. But he is a sucker who'll do anything for his brother. So.
