“You know you’re in love with him, right?” Tommy bites out as Buck turns away.
--He knows he’s being weird but he’s afraid. Afraid that he’s been overstepping in a way that people were picking up on and were too afraid to tell him before.
So, he becomes more mindful of his actions. It wasn’t until he started thinking about it that he realized just how tactile he had been with Eddie. His hands pull on their own accord towards Eddie whenever he’s within reach. Feet and legs point right at the other man whenever he entered a room as though ready to sprint towards him. His gaze always found Eddie’s in any room, no matter how crowded.
Were these the things that made Tommy think he was in love with Eddie?
He just has to be more mindful, pay attention to the way he was projecting himself.

Or, a comment from Tommy causes Buck to spiral. Eddie fixes it.

Summary
Eddie loves Buck, he just needs time to tell him and come out of the closet. It's too bad Eddie can't be a sane person for five minutes and starts panicking when he thinks Buck is going to leave their non-existent romantic relationship he didn't tell him about.

Brazenly obvious as he'd checked Eddie out, and Eddie's belly had gone hot, his skin crackling with electricity, and he'd gulped at the shockingly intense physical reaction his body was having and could think nothing except for I need to get out of here.
He has no excuse. No explanation.
"Oh," Buck says. "I didn't, um. That's—that's cool, if you. Do you, or, uh. I won't call them, but if you want, I can give you his number?"
"No," Eddie says, too fast.
