Waxer had a vibroblade in his boot and another on his belt, plus a couple of droid poppers in his backpack. “Good instincts,” he told the droid. “But that rifle over there was my only weapon, so no, it’s fine.”
The droid stared for a moment. “Are you lying to me?” it asked suspiciously.
“Oh no,” Waxer said as sincerely as he could. “Clones can’t lie. They bred it right out of us. No good for a military, you see.”
The droid slumped a little. “That’s a relief,” it said.
Waxer has a plan. Boil has a headache.
