This time, he tilts his head like a fox facing an unidentified object in the woods. "Because we share a strong bond."
"And that is because?" Yuuji tries again.
"Because we're married, what else?" Okkotsu chuckles, amused. As if Yuuji is being silly and obvious on purpose, as if it's amusing to think that no, Itadori Yuuji and Okkotsu Yuuta are not married at the ages of twenty-one and twenty-two respectively, but it is perfectly normal and sensible to believe otherwise.
Yuuji finds out very late what it means to give your ring finger to Okkotsu Yuuta of all people.

Itadori's face splits into a wide, bright smile. "Sure," he grins, like it's easy, like it's nothing. "Let's do it.”A string of misunderstandings lead Fushiguro's entire family to believe that he's bringing a boyfriend home during the holiday season. Fushiguro does not have a boyfriend. The obvious, logical solution to this problem is to find someone willing to play the part, and then not fall in love with that someone along the way. Easy.

“Hello, is this Megumi Fushiguro?”
It’s a man’s voice.
“Yes,” Megumi says. “Who is this?”
“Ah, forgive the multiple calls, but I have some very important business to discuss with you. I’m Kenji Tajiro, Satoru Gojo’s lawyer.”
A week later Megumi is sitting in a clinically white and sleekly modern office building in the heart of Tokyo. Jennifer is at his feet, alert, her leash held loosely in Megumi’s grasp. Yuji is sitting on his right, leg bouncing and clad in his “nicest pair of joggers”. He has Megumi’s other hand nearly crushed in his grip. The dog is alert, Yuji is a ball of nerves.
Megumi feels nothing.
