Steve was confused as fuck, he was just driving home from the grocery store, when suddenly he's standing in the middle of the road, with no car sight. It appears to be the same road, but the pavement looks different and the trees look weird.Steve didn't have time to dwell on this though. A weird-looking car drove up to him with the window rolled down, they were probably about to ask if Steve needed assistance, but the moment he and Steve smelled each other it was all over. True mates, obsessed with each other, unable to be apart or to live without each other.

Icy fear mixed with burning rage and Eddie spit in Richard's face. "Stay away from my family," he snarled, struggling in his bonds like a trapped wild animal.
Richard's fist snapped out and connected with Eddie's nose with a sickening crack. Pain exploded through Eddie's face and he couldn't help but cry out, blinking the automatic tears from his eyes.
"Then tell me where mine is," Richard demanded, wiping the spit from his cheek. Gone was any enjoyment he had been taking in this. Now, his fury was tripled and plain not just in his eyes, but also on his face.
"They're not your family, they were your victims," Eddie said lowly, tasting the blood that was leaking from his nose.
OR
When a new family moves in next to the Buckley-Diaz household, Eddie and Buck immediately pick up on the fact that something was going on behind closed doors. They do everything they can to help, but doing so makes Eddie a target of another man's rage.

He’s sensed Eddie’s lust before - senses it from everyone all the time, which means he knows way more about his co-workers than he ever really wants too - back when Shannon was still around. He’d catch a whiff of it if they slept together before Eddie came into work, but it was dull - flat and boring in comparison to whatever’s going on with him now.
Losing Shannon and then everything else going on immediately after pretty much killed Eddie’s libido where it stood, as far as Buck can tell, but now - a few days after the well collapsed and nearly stole Eddie away from him - his aura is a vibrant shock of red and purple and colors Buck’s never seen before, let alone have names for.
Or- Eddie being buried alive beneath 30ft of mud has some interesting consequences.
