Jimin stops short, blank eyes staring ahead, gradually refocusing.
He turns his head slowly, blinking at the pane of glass that greets him. A glass door. A glass front door to a shop.
It’s raining.
A glass front door, and on both sides of it little potted plants with pretty purple flowers.
Through the door, there’s soft, warm yellow light.
At least-
It looks warm. It looks like it could be warm.
Jimin wouldn’t know, he’s still standing outside, staring. Drenched in-
Oh.
It’s raining.
Or: Jimin is sad and lonely. Hoseok owns a bakery. On a rainy night, sad, lonely Jimin walks into Hoseok’s bakery.
Jimin eventually finds out that Hoseok might be able to give him a second chance at feeling warm, being happy, and most of all, being loved.

“Gay. And whipped. Gay-whipped. For Namjoon.”
“Hyungs, I'm right here! Stop talking about me like I'm not!” Jungkook whines from where he's slumped defeatedly on the couch.
“He's very whipped,” Seokjin reiterates, unbothered. “He's done his research and everything.”
“Uh.” Hoseok blinks. “Research?”
“His jawline.”
“His jawline?”
“His jawline!” Jungkook wails from where he's now faceplanted on the couch.
Seokjin nods knowingly. “It's 130 degrees.”
“132!”
“132.”
“What the fuck, Jungkook?”
Jungkook whines again, now lying facing the ceiling. “It's not my fault he's hot and nice and /muscular/ and has dimples-”
“And big thighs,” Seokjin adds, still straight faced but clearly amused. “Tell him about Namjoon's thighs, Jungkook-ah.”
Jungkook swings back around to a socially acceptable sitting position, poised perfectly like a businessman about to make the deal of his life. “They have a circumference of exactly 34.9 centimeters.”

Summary
Jungkook can’t sleep.
He’s so, so tired, but even when he closes his eyes and tries to stay still, nothing happens.
He lets out an unheard, frustrated whine, sitting up and rubbing his eyes harshly.
Jungkook can feel the warmth radiating from his hyungs in the surrounding bunks, can imagine what it would feel like to touch that warmth, to be given that warmth, but still he can’t bring himself to reach out.
Jungkook has always needed tactile affection of some kind to sleep properly. When he was held, and subsequently felt warm and cozy and safe, only then was Jungkook able to let go.
Which is why he hasn’t slept well in weeks, no, months - if he can’t even change clothes in front of his new hyungs, how can he ask them to cuddle with him, to hold him, to keep him warm and cozy and safe?
Or: Jungkook’s new hyungs are very nice but Jungkook still struggles to find the courage to ask them to (literally) sleep with him. His hyungs get worried about his obvious insomnia. Things are explained. Cuddles are manifested. Seven happy babies :]
