Summary
There was a feeling Ilya wanted to figure out how to reliably find. It was sporadic and hard to parse but it felt so particular, like how home is supposed to feel.
In a half-remembered dream, maybe, was where he felt it first. Trying to understand it made his chest hurt in a funny way, his heart ache. It was blurry, but bright, but tremulous, but pleasant.
It's the only spark he really feels outside of Shane, and that's really never not going to be a mess, so he really needed to figure this out.
