Growing up, Robert always knew what was expected of him. When the world goes to hell, people need someone to look towards to save them. And he was going to be that someone.
He was going to be a Jaeger pilot.

Otherwise known as, Mecha Man prime and Astral were some of the first and most well known Jaeger rangers in history. After his father is killed and his suit is destroyed, Robert rebuilds it on his own. He is the first civilian pilot to join the fight against the Kaiju.
He is also the only known pilot to operate solo both successfully, and continuously.
And he wins.
Every.
Single.
Time.
Or… he did. Until now.
