Azul Ashengrotto prided himself on being a man of order. His life was a meticulously crafted masterpiece of schemes, contracts, and calculated risks. But then there were them—Jade and Floyd Leech, the twin terrors of Octavinelle, who seemed to exist solely to disrupt his carefully constructed world.

He thought he was arguing with Yugo or Yuri, but it seemed strange to him that whenever the three of them had any argument, their voices would rise in pitch, but there was nothing, not even a murmur. Pyro’s eyes snapped open to darkness.
A cold, suffocating black that pressed against the walls of the stone crypt. For a moment he didn’t breathe. Couldn’t. Dust choked his throat, clinging to his tongue like ash.
He sat up too fast. Pain shot through his ribs. The air tasted like rot and wet limestone. The walls were damp, their mortar crumbling, flakes of stone littering the floor like a long‑rotted snowfall.
His heartbeat - slow and unfamiliar - thudded once, twice.

So. A vampire dressed as a vampire, walked into a library — he felt ridiculous. He'd usually preen from the fact that he's able to wear his old clothes, the attention on him today felt annoying. But his day turned sideways when his ears caught the sound of a thud — upon moving his gaze in the direction of the noise.
They were kneeling on the ground, hair and clothes wet, picking up pieces of paper which definitely look worse for wear. Then their blue eyes met his while standing up, nervous gaze, breaking eye contact to look around.
Scott had almost felt the bells echoing again — he knew that face— it was unmistakable. It looked untouched by the scars of vampirism, untouched by holy water, untouched by Goldsmith.
Like if time reversed the wounds, the memories, the fate that lied before him.
