“Take me to your room, now,” he managed to mumble in a heated whisper before capturing Jayce's lips again in a fierce kiss.
Jayce bit and tugged gently at Viktor’s bottom lip as he pulled away just enough to leave his mouth brushing over Viktor’s. “Now?” he murmured.
“Now,” Viktor replied in a low, demanding tone, his breathing ragged. He was past caring about his aching leg or the fact that he needed a cane to walk. At that moment, he just wanted to be as close to Jayce as humanly possible, to lose himself in the heat of the moment.
He leaned on Jayce, his hand sliding from his neck to grip his shoulder, as if to emphasize the urgency. His lips found Jayce's jawline, pressing a trail of kisses there.
Jayce’s gaze flicked to the end of the hallway, where the double doors led back into the ballroom. “But this is our party. You want to leave, just like that, Vik?” Jayce hummed as he tilted his neck a bit.
Viktor growled lightly in frustration, pulling back just enough to meet Jayce's gaze. “Do you think I care?”

Vi paced the length of the room with her chin pinched firmly between her fingers. She had been tracing a wide oval on the floor, her boots clanking heavily with every step. They had been over the plan several times already, Viktor lamented soundlessly, but he understood her nerves. Ekko, who was busy spinning himself in one of Viktor’s office chairs, slowed to a stop with an exaggerated groan, dragging the toe of his shoes along Viktor’s floor. “Vi, how many more times are you gonna make us—”
“Until it’s perfect, Ekko.” Vi interrupted brusquely. “Everyone needs to be on the same page about what they’re doing, where they’re supposed to be, and what we’re after. We’re not gonna get another shot at this for months if we fail.”

OR: The kids from Zaun have a plan—find whatever Jayce Talis has been working on and steal it. The Progress Day Gala is the perfect opportunity to do so. The only issue? Viktor has to attend to "present" his research to Heimerdinger. He should be in and out quickly—just long enough to get Vi into place and dip. If all goes smoothly, he'll never have to interact with Jayce Talis at all. Simple, right?
