Summary
To stop Oswald from constantly calling him at work, where his side of the conversation can be overheard, Ed gets him a burner cellphone that he can use to send text messages instead. Obviously, this backfires.

Summary
Jim knew that something was wrong from the moment the campaign staffer described Councillor Caulfield's killer: "short, fancy clothes, walked funny." It made little sense for Penguin to attack mayoral candidates—his business had never depended on who was in City Hall—and even less sense to target two different candidates. But his first instinct wasn't to say that there must be a lot of short guys out there with funny walks, and it probably wasn't Oswald. Instead, his gut told him it was Oswald, and something was wrong.

Summary
While Oswald Cobblepot presides over the Pax Penguina, the deceased mafia don Salvatore Maroni, resurrected by a mysterious sponsor who disapproves of Oswald's rule, walks into the newly opened Iceberg Lounge and finds a Penguin very different from the one he remembered. Oswald, meanwhile, finds himself strangely well-disposed, even nostalgic, toward the man who was once his mark, his (fake) boss, and his enemy, for reasons that aren't entirely clear even to him.

Written for drabble prompts in the Gamma Quadrant Discord; all Garak or Garashir-focused so far, but I might branch out. Ordered chronologically by when they're set, not when I wrote them, because I'm just Like That. (My bookshelf is also ordered chronologically.)

Summary
A Deep Space Nine series that's mostly canon-compliant up to mid-season 5, except that Garak and Bashir are carrying on a secret affair starting in season 3 (which could be going on offscreen, for all we know...). Traces their getting-together and various ups and downs of their relationships over the course of the show's timeline.

Summary
From the moment he woke in the back seat of the cruiser, Ed has felt as though he’s been caught in a play where Oswald’s forgotten all the lines, or Ed has. He shakes his head in an effort to clear his thoughts, but they’re scattered uselessly. It’s so hard to focus when Oswald is looking up at him from under his lashes with a knowing smirk toying at the corner of his lips. What does he know that Ed doesn’t?
Back and forth he strokes over the silken texture, unbroken by the fancy pins Oswald likes to wear… Ed realises he’s staring blankly at Oswald’s throat, brow furrowed in confusion. It’s a simple thing with his memory, to call up an image of Oswald in the warehouse, propelled forward by Gordon.
“It was your tie pin,” Ed breathes out loud, hand slackening.
OR Ed figures it out before he pulls the trigger, and changes the outcome in a rather dramatic fashion. My fix-it of 3x22.

Summary
It was a gradual defrosting, first the swell of his chest against Oswald’s filling with a shuddering breath, then the gentle pressure of his hand on Oswald’s shoulder. The curve of his palm pushing Oswald away and the curl of his fingers, clenched in Oswald’s housecoat pulling him in. And then, oh so achingly slow, the parting of his lips and the suction, gentle as to be nearly undetectable, pulling Oswald’s bottom lip between his own.
Post 4x15, slight canon divergence where Oswald just can't help himself when Ed starts talking about "strong desires..." There is kissing, and tending of wounds, and Martin sneaking Ed ice cream as he convalesces. Plus loopy, drug-addled Ed confessing all the things he'd like to do to Oswald...

Summary
There is nothing wrong with Oswald Cobblepot.
(What’s wrong with Oswald Cobblepot etches itself onto his body to make sure he never forgets. No matter how many times it does so, he never seems to learn. Fish Mooney is in the ache and twist of his right leg. Victor Zsasz is in the pattern of scars that trail like lace across his back.
Edward Nygma is in the scar on his chest from the bullet he took for loving too much.)
