Finally, everything is calm at Collinwood. But then...
Truly, I don't know how to summarize this without simply telling the story. You'll just have to read it and see what you think. It is a sad story so I'll apologize right here and now, though I personally feel it has a lot of joy interwoven with the sadness. As with all my stories, it was originally posted on the old Yahoo Julia and Barnabas mailing list. It had chapters at that time but I've lost the version with the chapter breakdown so I'm posting it here in it's entirety.

I suspect it was a "fill in the missing bits" or "write what you think happened after this scene..." or perhaps "write a scene you would have liked to have seen..." A challenge response from the old Barnabas and Julia Yahoo mailing list. Unfortunately, I don't recall the parameters of the challenge. I believe it was from March, 2006 (yes, really). This is a bit of a different take from my usual J and B writing so I think that must have been part of the challenge--a different take on things. Sorry that this isn't really a summary...I'm not sure how to summarize it other than to say it's a trio of vignettes from different stages of Dark Shadows. I hope you enjoy it.
