Summary
“I’m so proud of you, my nephew.” Uncle cups Zuko’s face in his lined hand. The gesture is so tender, his palm so warm, that Zuko has to take a fortifying breath against the sudden swell of emotion in his chest.
“I want to be a good leader, Uncle,” Zuko says. “I want to look after my people.”
“You will,” Uncle says. “You are, nephew.”
In a new era of peace, Zuko works to be a very different Fire Lord than his forefathers. Based on this tumblr post.

What happens when four young witches, their human friend, and a young basilisk find themselves stuck in the Human Realm together? A lot of wholesome, human shenanigans.
This is my interpretation of what could have happened during those months spent in the human realm. Some of it is based on the snapshots we got in the montage, other parts are just my imagination running with it. :)
Also- I'll be including my own fan art with each chapter!Bookmarked by Paleomancer

The Galactic Empire Reconsidered: Perspectives on the Third Centenary of the Battle of Endor
304 ABYIt is time, and long past time, for a critical reexamination of Palpatine’s rise to power, specifically in regards to some of the most popular and sensationalist beliefs that persist about the Clone Wars and the coup d’etat of 19 BBY. In short, let us ask the following questions: Was Palpatine really a Sith Lord? Were the Clone Wars really the result of a secret Sith plot? Did Darth Sidious, as we must call him, really rule both Republic and Confederacy simultaneously? And what does it mean for our understanding of the Interregnum if none of this is true?

Summary
Now occupied by the T'au Empire, the city of Sartheno has prospered since its ties to the Imperium were severed. Life, something that the average citizen had little concept of under the oppressive regime of the Emperor, now blooms with possibility. Yet there exist factions within and without who would see that promise despoiled. Agents of rot, agents of change, and the misguided faithful would see the tenuous balance upset, and all the promise of the Empire turned to ashes. As the Plague Wars come to an end and the Atoll holds its breath, waiting to see which way the Avening Son's conquering blade cuts, those in the shadows seek to force a disastrous confrontation.

Summary
The Cicatrix Maledictum did not simply tear the Imperium in half - it cracked the once-inviolable bastion of the Galactic Core, exposing the Leagues of Votann to the galaxy at large. With danger comes new opportunities, however. The Hesperian League, as eager for trade and plunder as any, has brokered the kind of deal that would see their contemporaries twist in a jealous agony. Finding the backwater system of Prestor under observation by a single Mechanicus outpost, the League have moved in on what their survey fleets say is a wealth of precious minerals, sure to elevate the League's standing and allow it to stave off the hostile overtures of the Kronus Hegemony.
But with great reward comes unknown risk. Why did the Imperium leave only a single monitoring station in a system so rich in resources, containing a human colony only now developing into early spaceflight of their own? What secrets do the shattered outer planets of Prestor hold? And, what will the arrival of the disgraced Commander Ono Otami, aboard a maligned vanity project of a light carrier, mean for the ever-escalating tensions between the Imperium of Man and the Leagues of Votann?
Possibly an ongoing story.

Summary
“The motion passes!” Councilor Ferros announces with unrestrained glee. The other Councilors lower their hands, one by one, awaiting someone else to take it from here. Councilors Shoola and Sevika’s hands are last to come down, Sevika’s disappearing into her fraying cloak. Shoola’s lands delicately atop the heavy table. The pointed tips of her gold-wrapped fingers tinkling metallically on the brass.
The youngest among them, Councilor Arvino, makes the order. “Sheriff,”
From the gallery, a uniformed figure steps forward. He wears the bronze badge of the office of Sheriff, a provisional title, bestowed upon him as the most senior surviving Enforcer uninjured enough to fill the role.
“Sheriff Steb,” Councilor Arvino repeats. “Would you initiate procedures to take the former Commander Caitlyn Kiramman into custody as soon as possible.” This is not a question, but a unilateral order.

Summary
“Crack open the pods,” Sallowe instructed Nigel. “Not with yer wrist. Whole arm, straight, get some leverage on it. Press down against the table-” The seed pod crunched against the cutting stone. Inside were the young, tender shoots of false madrona. As it matured, it would spiral up into thick, branch-like hyphae, forming an impenetrable mass that could only be destroyed with fire. New and green, however, it had a powerful anti-inflammatory effect. “Fine, lad, use the spoon if you need to,” he sighed as Nigel struggled.
The Eagle Khan has seen fit to send a group of would-be settlers through the relay: including one Thomas Sallowe, a workworlder-turned-traitor-cook, Khünbish, an ageless outsider with a sorrowful past, and Nigel Stonor, a self-described "modern Marco Polo" with a penchant for putting his foot in his mouth. Will the bonds built by sharing good food be enough to ensure they survive the High Wilderness?

Summary
Far, far away from the sietches of Arrakis or the halls of Caladan, Kaitain, or Giedi Prime, there is a small, backwater moon where the main things of note are livestock exports and an unimportant Bene Gesserit chapterhouse.
Initiate Yakoba Herstal is a struggling student and is worried about her inevitable meeting with the Gom Jabbar. Unfortunately Proctor Myuller, one of her teachers (and one with an abnormally high body count) has now taken an interest in training her directly. Maryam, Yakoba's cellmate, is an uptight, quiet noble-born whose status– and the plots around her– precede her even here. And their friend Borte is, well... Borte.
In their own ways, these three girls are drawn into political machinations and generational drama far above and beyond the more mundane dangers of surviving to Novice Sister status.
(The AU Canon Divergence aspects of the fic are revealed by the end of Chapter 3.)

Summary
What would Frank Herbert have written in Dune 7, truly?
I longed for a classic, "heady" tale that would echo Frank's writing style and themes, and weaved its way through the giant questions that Heretics and Chapterhouse left unanswered. It started with a character exploration and turning upside down some of the concepts of the book, and it quickly evolved into a multi-planet, multi-plot story that follows are most beloved characters (Miles Teg, Murbella, Sheeana, Duncan Idaho) as well as a cast of new ones.Depending on what you define canon, this is a canon continuation (wrt Frank) or a canon alternative (wrt Brian's books).
What will happen to Leto's unnumerable atoms of awareness spread into the Scattering on rag-tag Bene Gesserit ships? What is going on with Marty and Daniel? What is Duncan Idaho? And so on...

"And so it came to pass that the most faithful servant of the Emperor, Ciaphas Cain, did pass into His Grace at the age of one hundred and thirty-four. He was buried with all the honors accrued to him in his long life of service to the glory of the Imperium of Man. Yet it was whispered among some of the regiments whom he had so served that Cain's loyalty to Him-on-Earth would not be chained by death, and that he who had fought and bled for Him would not refuse the call to aid His people again ..." --Excerpt from the Hagiography of St. Ciaphas of Valhalla and Perlia, M42

Summary
The player characters of Fallen London are a rum lot. By end game, any protagonist can reasonably expect to be a Biblical scholar, cat burglar, exotic animal breeder, sea captain, police officer, anarchist bomber, prison escapee, occult investigator, and it’s more than likely that they’ll come back from the dead and spend some time lost in the land of dreams at least once. Just how far could one go with a character who was painfully pedestrian – who, however outré their surroundings, clung to the commonplace of Victorian society like a holy talisman? Could they reach the upper echelons of Neathy society without having achieved anything more adventurous than having an extra boiled egg with their breakfast? Well, there’s only one way to find out: by following the non-adventures of Doctor Taupe-Wainscot, the Pabulous Physician!
