When Kelly Kline gave birth to Jack there was another, one whose Grace was hidden behind Jack's in the womb, one whose existence was unknown. so when Castiel told Jack he needed to grow up fast because there were people that wanted to hurt him. Konner heard, he heard and he listened, he always listened because while Jack only listened when spoken to by Castiel, Konner was always listening, everywhere Kelly Kline went he listened and he learned.
And when he was born he left, before anyone saw him be it Jack or the Winchesters.

After stopping Roman Torchwick from robbing a dust shop, Ruby Rose was interrogated, given a pat on the back, a slap on the wrist, and sent home. There was no early entrance into Beacon.
A month later, rumours of a mysterious vigilante spread in Vale, sending the underworld into chaos and leaving the Vale Police Department scratching their heads as to who's under the mask.
These two events are definitely unrelated.
(Or: Ruby gets a new hobby while waiting for her seventeenth birthday, Vale gets a new vigilante/cryptid, and both sides of the Salem-Ozpin war get a new headache. Really, it would have been easier to send Ruby to Beacon early.)

The Blacksmith, in all fairness, did tell them exactly what was about to happen. The problem, really, is that when five heretofore unknown figures suddenly blip into existence a good decade and a half into the past, a lot of very powerful people notice.
And many of them are less than pleased.
Or: Those five from the Ever After, Jaune Arc, Blake Belladonna, Yang Xiao-Long, Weiss Schnee, and Ruby Rose, do not end up in Vacuo. Instead, they end up scattered across Remnant, 12 years in the past.
