It didn’t matter that he’d sweat through his shirt until it clung to him, until he shivered in the bathroom afterwards and pressed his thumbs to his temples, wishing he could press the headache so small it wouldn’t hurt him. It didn’t matter that his hip ached and burned and made him wonder if he wasn’t dying. He was always up for breakfast.
