Summary
Ten-year-old, three-foot Saffron woke up in an empty, flooded city. Saffron explores, hoping to find some semblance of human life, only to discover that the world has been overrun by demonic "dolls" that all seem to want to kill her. Luckily, or perhaps unluckily enough, she finds someone she used to be close to, and he seems to know where to go for safety... However, there is something Saffron doesn't quite trust about him. Maybe it's the fact that he had left her when she needed him most. Or, perhaps it's the fact that half of his body has decayed, and the other half was possessed by a doll, the very creatures she was trying to run from.
