That the lead he was chasing down in the ass end of nowhere South Dakota was nothing more than an urban legend, or the result of a gas leak or something in the water. It wasn’t like there were any bodies dropping. Not even a mysterious disappearance. Only vague rumors of a forest where people reported seeing the dead.
Horseshit, Dean had thought.
